Journey Groups

We believe that God made us to be in community with one another. As we grow together, we are offering multiple Journey Groups for anyone in search of communities of faith. Below you will find a list of the current Journey Group offerings.

Bible Band of Brothers – Dissatisfied Sinners Seeking to Grow Closer to God.  A men’s group that meets at a local restaurant for breakfast.  The group is for men seeking redemption through faith and fellowship.  Time is spent in discussions, support, and growing together.

  • WHEN:  1st, 3rd, 5th Wednesday of every month, 7:00 AM
  • WHERE:  Panera Bread – 1125 Woodruff Road

Come as You Are – Explore Faith and Life Together – no Judgment, Just Community.  A group for young adults interested in gathering and growing in their faith.  There is no pressure in this group, just honest and engaging discussions and Christian fellowship.

  • WHO:  Co-ed, ages 18 – 40
  • WHEN:  Monthly gatherings – time to be determined by group
  • WHERE:  Location to be determined – homes, restaurants, church

Daughters of the King – A Bible Study for Women to Discover Their God-Given Potential and Reflect His Love.  The group will explore God’s Word together with the belief that we are created in God’s likeness and aim to embody His love in our actions toward the world.

  • WHEN:  1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month, 5:45 PM
  • WHERE:  Five Forks Methodist Church

Five Forks & Spoons – Fellowship, Food and Fun.  Join this group for laughter, good food, and great company!  This group breaks bread together and enjoys fellowship with one another.

  • WHO:  Men, Women, Couples, Singles of all ages
  • WHEN:  3rd Thursday of each month – Lunch or Dinner (Seasonal)
  • WHERE:  Local Restaurants – Christmas Dinner at Five Forks Methodist Church

Friends in Faith – A Sunday School Style Group Who Are United by Our Passion for Sharing and Learning Through Bible Study.  This group is diverse with various religious backgrounds.  Our mission is to foster understanding, respect, and spiritual growth by embracing our unique experiences and perspectives.

  • WHEN:  Weekly – Sunday mornings after worship, 10:30 – 11:30 AM
  • WHERE:  Five Forks Methodist Church – Room 102

Ladies in Faith Together (LIFT) – Connecting Women Through Faith, Fellowship, and Service.  We offer a welcoming space for women to connect, share meaningful time together, uplift one another, and make a difference through acts of service.  Let’s gather to support each other and serve together!

  • WHEN:  Monthly – 3rd Tuesday of each month, 7:00 PM

Low Key Life Group – A Sunday School Style Group that Aims to Grow Closer To Christ and Do Life Together.  A group of Christ-minded followers growing in faith together and connection with each other.

  • WHO:  Adults generally under 40 (but not exclusive)
  • WHEN:  Weekly – Sunday Mornings after Worship, 10:30 – 11:30 AM
  • WHERE:  Five Forks Methodist Church – Fellowship Area

Men’s Sunday Morning Bible Study – A Chance for Men to Grow in Faith, Connect with Others, and Study God’s Word.  This group’s focus is to deepen your understanding of the Bible, build meaningful connections through fellowship and help you grow in your faith and your walk with God.

  • WHEN:  Weekly – Sunday mornings before worship, 8:00 – 9:00 AM
  • WHERE:  Five Forks Methodist Church – Room 102

Men’s Breakfast Club – Enjoy Fellowship and Devotional Time with Friends.  This group gathers for breakfast each week to fellowship with one another over breakfast.  We also share in devotional time and prayer.

  • WHEN:  Weekly – Wednesday mornings, 8:30 – 9:30 AM
  • WHERE:  IHOP Restaurant – Woodruff Road by I-385

FFMC Prayer Shawl Ministry – Handmade Shawls for Comfort and Support During Times of Need.  We create prayer shawls to bring comfort to those in need.  As we craft each shawl, we pray over it, asking that the recipient feel the love of God and the support of our congregation.

Salt & Light – A Sunday School Style Group of People Seeking Insight Into God’s Word and How it Applies to Us Today.  We share God’s Word, live its truths, and serve our community through mission projects.

Women’s Community Outreach – A Group of Women Coming Together to Support One Another on Our Faith Journey Through Fellowship, Connection, Worship, and Serving Others Through Impactful Community Outreach Programs.

  • WHO:  Adult Women
  • WHEN:  2nd Thursday of each month, 6:30 – 7:45 PM
  • WHERE:  Five Forks Methodist Church  (Off-site Activities during Summer)

Women of the Word – Back to the Basic Study of the Bible.  We explore His Word through its basic teachings and fundamentals and aim to gain deeper understanding through our weekly discussions of Bible verses.
